About the programme
Club Nago is built like a DJ set, not a playlist. The tracks are beat-matched and run straight through to midnight, each one blending into the next, with no silence between them and no break.
You can hear the difference straight away. In a playlist, each song stops before the next one starts. In a set, the music never drops: the transitions are designed to keep the momentum going, and the running order follows a progression, as on a night out at a club. The selection favours club edits and extended versions, with longer intros and outros that leave room for the blends.
This is the late mix on NAGO Music. After the ballads of Konpa Lanmou, Club Nago lifts the energy again for the hour and a half leading up to midnight, before Nago Nightshift takes over for the night. It is for people getting ready to go out, people with friends round at home, or anyone who simply wants to end the day on a continuous beat. In the diaspora, where the evening may start earlier or later, it can also serve as the backdrop to a party.
