Nago Nightshift

Three hours of videos with no host, no break and no talking over the intros. The selection drifts from up-tempo to slower cuts as the night wears on, so it works as company as easily as it does as a playlist.

About the programme

When the day is done and the house goes quiet, NAGO Music switches to Nago Nightshift: three hours of music videos with no host, no break and nobody talking over the intros. Songs follow one another as they were recorded, from the first chord to the last note.

The selection follows the shape of the night. It opens on more up-tempo tracks, then drifts gradually towards slower cuts as the hours go by. You can watch the screen closely or simply leave the music running in the background while you read, tidy up or wait for sleep. The programme works as easily as company as it does as a playlist.

This slot is for people who are still awake: night-shift workers, students revising late, parents up with a child, and Haitians in the diaspora for whom the time difference puts these hours at a completely different point in the day. Coming just before the ballads of Konpa After Dark, Nago Nightshift keeps some energy without ever getting loud.

What you will see

  • Three hours of continuous music videos
  • No host and no commercial breaks
  • Intros left intact, with no voice over them
  • A tempo that slows as the night goes on
  • Music you can watch or simply listen to
