The national union of Haitian police officers (SYNAPOHA) is denouncing the systematic refusal of OFATMA insurance cards in hospital centers, according to Vant Bèf Info. Mathieuny Sidel, a member of SYNAPOHA, points out that despite the monthly deduction of 167.96 gourdes for OFATMA from police salaries, hospitals are refusing these cards on the grounds that OFATMA never pays. SYNAPOHA states that few hospitals in the West department still accept the OFATMA card.
