Saint-Étienne manager Ian Cathro sharply criticized his players following the 3-0 defeat against Guingamp on Saturday evening. "My feeling? Anger!" he told the microphone of beIN Sports.

This evening offers us a salutary lesson, added Cathro, acknowledging that his team had lacked organization and intensity throughout the match. He stressed that it was important for him and his players to understand how they could have become disorganized after Guingamp opened the scoring.

"When you have an evening like this, you have to be able to turn it into something positive," he explained. "Guingamp will help us, staff and players alike."

Despite the disappointing result, Cathro sees this defeat as a way for his team and his staff to learn and grow.

NAGO reported on November 1st that Guingamp had beaten Saint-Étienne 3-0, with Cathro's changes having no effect.
