Hours after a deadly ambush on Hull Bay Road, Charlotte Brown-Parrott, mother of one surviving passenger, shared new details about the violent incident. According to her account, three individuals were traveling in a vehicle when another car pursued them and opened fire early Saturday morning. The attack left 39-year-old Evan Haynes Jr., from Piqua, Ohio, dead at the scene.

Brown-Parrott revealed that her daughter survived without physical injuries despite being inside the targeted vehicle during the shooting. She also shared how her daughter managed to call 911 amid the chaos and requested immediate medical assistance as gunfire continued around them.

The mother expressed deep sorrow for Haynes' family while offering prayers for her own daughter, who is now preparing to return home from St. Thomas. Her account provides critical context that Virgin Islands Police Department officials have yet to formally detail in their investigation.

Detectives are using witness testimonies, phone recordings, and forensic evidence to track down the chasing vehicle involved in the shooting between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning. The Criminal Investigation Bureau continues to urge anyone with information or dashcam footage from Hull Bay Road during that time frame to contact police investigators through Crime Stoppers USVI.
