Keep your Bible open beside you. Etid Biblik moves through the text chapter by chapter, at a pace designed so you can follow the reading in your own book, turn the pages and go back to a verse without losing the thread.
Each reading begins by setting out the context: who is speaking, to whom, in what situation, and what happened in the preceding chapters. Only then is the passage read and explained. Throughout the study, the text stays on screen, which helps those who do not have their Bible to hand, those reading in another translation, or those who simply prefer to see the words as they hear them. The aim is not to cover a lot of ground, but to understand properly what is read before moving on.
The programme differs from the morning sermon: where a sermon starts from a passage to carry a message, Bible study stays within the text and works through it in order. Placed in mid-morning, over an hour and a half, it is for those who have a quiet stretch ahead of them: retired people, people at home, leaders of study groups preparing a meeting, or anyone, in Haiti or the diaspora, who wants to read the Bible continuously rather than in fragments.
