About the programme

When they wake up, supporters want to know three things: who won overnight, where the tables stand and what is on today. Sport Maten answers all three. For an hour and a half, NAGO Sport's morning programme goes through the overnight results, shows the tables as they now read and sets out the day's schedule in detail.

That schedule is not just a list. Sport Maten points out the fixtures worth planning a day around, with their kick-off times, so everyone knows when to get free, meet up with friends or turn on the television. The updated tables make it clear what is at stake in those matches before they even begin: a side that could go top, another fighting for its place, a gap that could close.

The length of the programme leaves time to switch it on while getting ready, over coffee or before heading to work, and to come back to it without losing the thread. It is made for supporters in Haiti and for those in the diaspora who start their day at roughly the same time, particularly on the east coast of North America. Where World Sport Wrap goes around the world during the night, Sport Maten turns towards the day ahead and the fixtures still to come, before Foutbòl Ayiti takes over with Haitian football.
