Headlines on the hour: the essentials and nothing more, so the day can be caught up on without sitting through a full bulletin.
It is not always possible to watch a full bulletin. Bilten exists for those moments: a short news update, placed in the NAGO News day between longer programmes, that gives the essentials and nothing more. The main headlines, the established facts, and then on with the schedule.
The format is deliberately plain. No long reports and no debates: each story is told clearly, in a few sentences, with what you need to know to understand what it is about. If a subject deserves a closer look, other programmes on the channel take that on. Bilten is there to sort things out, so that in a few minutes you know what matters at that point in the day. That choice demands discipline: keeping only a few stories means deciding which ones really matter, and wording them without ambiguity, so that each one is understood the first time.
People watch it during a break, between appointments, at work or while waiting for someone. In Haiti, where the day is often busy and a screen is not always nearby, this quick catch-up makes it possible to stay informed without giving up an hour. For the diaspora, it is a way to hear news from home in the middle of their own day. Bilten comes back at several points, and each edition reflects the state of the news at the hour it airs.
Every day. Live on nago.tv, on the NAGO News channel.
