About the programme
Most programmes on NAGO Music are made to go with the day, in the background, while you do something else. Prime Mizik is the exception: it is the one programme built to be watched rather than just left on.
This is the evening showcase. For an hour and a half in prime time, the programme brings together the biggest videos of the moment, the ones people are talking about and want to see on a big screen. Premieres are held back for this slot: when a new video plays on the channel for the first time, this is where it arrives. So there is a reason to sit down, turn the volume up and watch together.
The hour is not chosen at random. In the evening the family comes together after work and school, dinner is over, and there is finally time to watch television. In Haiti and in the diaspora alike, it is often when people talk about the song of the moment. Prime Mizik takes over from Live Session and comes before Konpa Lanmou, which then brings the tempo down for the end of the night.
