Zinédine Zidane, the new coach of the French team, has revealed his strategy for compiling his first list. This announcement comes after several weeks of in-depth observation of players by his staff.
The pre-selection work was carried out by specific teams: Fabien Barthez followed the goalkeepers, David Bettoni and Stéphane Plancque observed the defenders and attackers. Adrien Truffert and Farid Tabet focused on video analysis of targeted players.
Every fifteen days, Zidane would convene his team to discuss observations and identify profiles requiring particular attention. This method aims to avoid having the selection rely on a single viewpoint.
Zidane himself did not multiply his travels due to his status as an international icon, but was seen at the Trophée des champions between Lens and PSG. The first list will show which new players have managed to secure a place in his plans.
