Singer and guitarist Sanders Solon, co-founder of the konpa band Harmonik, does not intend to return to it. Asked about a possible comeback on Trillion TV Unplugged, released on Saturday, November 7, 2026, he said that chapter is over: "A closed door is a closed door."
"The question the fans are asking"
Host Emily Cadet saved the question for the end of the interview. "The fans would like to know: if Sanders went back to Harmonik one day, is that door still open?" she asked in Creole.
Sanders Solon first answered as a believer. "I am an obedient servant of God," he said. If God asked him to return to the stage with Harmonik, "the answer would be yes. But if it's up to me as the human, as the guy, as a Christian, I have no intentions of going back to a closed door. I moved on already. That chapter is closed and I'm on to new endeavors."
Left Harmonik in 2023
Sanders Solon confirmed his departure from Harmonik in November 2023, after some fifteen years with the band. He had stepped back after an accident in October 2021. In an interview with Carel Pedre, he cited disagreements with band members and personal reasons, according to Vant Bèf Info. He then launched a new project, Mood Band, with Rodney Noel and Reginald Bastien.
"Freedom"
On the show, Sanders Solon first describes himself as "a man of God" and "a family man." Asked about this new chapter of his career, he sums it up in one word: freedom. "I finally feel like I'm free to do whatever I want," he says. He now wants to sing about what he lives and his "growth journey," instead of doing "the same thing that everybody else is doing."
What's next? "Music," he answers. "Music is definitely a gift that God gave me. I would be disobeying God if I said I didn't want to make music anymore."
Ten years later
The episode, co-produced by Trillion TV and Mood Band, runs about twenty minutes. Sanders Solon performs acoustically, and the show ends with an exclusive preview. He recalls that he was the first guest of Trillion TV Unplugged, ten years ago. "Trillion is a family," he says.
