Lionel Messi scored on Wednesday his 100th goal in Inter Miami colors, contributing to the club's victory against Cruz Azul in the Campeones Cup final (2-0).

The match took place at the Nu Stadium in Miami. Messi opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a header from a cross by Luis Suárez. This goal marks his 100th for Inter Miami, achieved in only 115 appearances with the club.

Cruz Azul tried to come back but fell against a solid defense led by Casemiro who doubled the score on a corner taken by Messi. This victory gives Inter Miami its first Campeones Cup trophy, extending its streak of titles since the arrival of the Argentine player.

The match also marked the debut as coach of Cristian "Kily" González on the Inter Miami bench. The coach started his tenure with a win and a trophy.
