The National Police Syndicate of Haiti (SPNH-17) has asked the authorities for more medical and psychological support for active officers as well as retirees. According to Vant Bèf Info, some police work six days a week for about 30,000 gourdes a month without a raise in several years. Garry Jean-Baptiste told The National: "If the situation continues, we will no longer be able to control anything."
