The MPCE completes the review of externally funded projects
On Friday, the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE) closed a series of events dedicated to reviewing the portfolio of programs and projects funded by international partners for 2025-2026. This review, which lasted five days, brought together representatives from various Haitian ministries as well as foreign technical and financial organizations.

Sandra Paulemon, the MPCE minister, returned to Port-au-Prince after a tour in the Grand South to participate in the discussions. According to Juno7, she indicated that the 364.75 billion gourdes under review represent an active portfolio of 112 projects with a disbursement rate of 38.74%. More than 223 billion remain to be released.
The minister emphasized the need to use these funds to improve road infrastructure, build schools and health centers, ensure access to drinking water, and create jobs. She also stated that Haiti wants to be a key player in defining, guiding, and evaluating these projects.
Guy Roméro Latry, general director of the MPCE, highlighted the importance of having reliable data to improve project monitoring. The director of External Cooperation, Yvrose Guerrier, presented this review as a tool aimed at strengthening coordination and management of development aid.
The MPCE is now preparing a synthesis of conclusions and an action plan for project follow-up. The Aid Effectiveness Committee, Sectoral and Thematic Tables, and Departmental Consultation Tables will be responsible for monitoring.
