United States Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Juan Pablo Segura, announced on the social network X on Friday that more than 600 tons of priority equipment from Bangladesh had been airlifted to the Gang Suppression Force (FRG) in Haiti.

Equipment and destination

Segura indicated that this was a significant operation to bolster joint efforts aimed at restoring stability in the country. The equipment was sent directly for the benefit of the FRG, which is tasked with combating criminal activities and ensuring public safety.

This initiative is part of the measures taken by the United States in collaboration with Haiti to strengthen the country's security sector. Secretary Segura emphasized the importance of these joint efforts in the fight against crime and widespread violence.
