Claude Joseph was chosen on Thursday, September 17 by the Engagés pour le Développement (EDE) as their sole candidate for the next presidential election. This decision, made during a National Political Bureau meeting held at Hotel El Rancho from 9 am to 1 pm, was unanimous.
Several officials had submitted their candidacies within EDE before Claude Joseph was designated. Among the mentioned candidates are Helph Monod Honorat and Harold Joseph (according to Juno7) as well as Harold Joseph, presented as one of the candidates by Vant Bèf Info.
Claude Joseph was chosen after registering as a voter on September 11, distinct from an official candidacy. This designation marks the end of the internal selection process initiated by EDE and opens a new stage for Claude Joseph in his political journey.
The party must now complete the required formalities with the Provisional Electoral Council and clarify its strategy for the election campaign.
