AS Saint-Étienne, owned by Larry Tanenbaum through Kilmer Sports since June 2024, is considering signing a gem from FC Nantes to strengthen its Ligue 1 squad. According to ASSE Mercato, the Greens are looking to sign a promising player.

Larry Tanenbaum, a Canadian billionaire and the owner of Kilmer Sports, is among the world's great fortunes, with an estimated wealth of around 2.5 billion dollars (about 2.2 billion euros), according to the Private Wealth Index ranking published last October. He ranks 694th in the world on that list.

Tanenbaum also owns 80% of Kilmer Sports, which until recently held 25% of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE), whose assets include the Toronto Raptors of the NBA and the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL. A deal with Rogers saw a stake sold for a total of 4.35 billion Canadian dollars, of which a share went indirectly to Tanenbaum, amounting to about 2.45 billion US dollars.

In France, Tanenbaum's main investment remains, of course, AS Saint-Étienne.
