About the programme

At lunchtime, time is short. Midi Sport, NAGO Sport's midday sports bulletin, therefore sticks to the essentials: the scores, the team news, the injury list and anything that has broken during the morning.

The programme works as a progress check. What was said first thing in Sport Maten may already have changed: a player has been hurt in training, a line-up is taking shape, an unexpected story has broken. Midi Sport sorts through it and updates what viewers need to know before the afternoon gets under way. Injuries and absences get particular attention, because they often weigh on the outcome of the fixtures that follow and on the coaches' choices. A key player missing from the squad can change the look of a match before it has even kicked off.

This one-hour bulletin suits people having lunch at work, at home or in a restaurant where the television stays on, in Haiti and across the diaspora. It can be watched in part or in full, since a bulletin is made up of short items that each make sense on their own. It also sets up the channel's afternoon: straight afterwards, Direk Match comes on air with the afternoon fixture live. Anyone who wants to know how the teams stand before kick-off will find the answers here, without having to look in several places.
