One hundred fifty Haitian police officers complete strategic and community-based training
A group of 150 Haitian police officers received certificates after completing a specialized training program focused on strategic and community-oriented policing. According to IciHaiti, the graduation ceremony took place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The participating officers represented different departments and specialized units within the Haitian National Police (PNH).

Course content and organizers
The instruction sessions ran between September 25 and September 28, 2026. IciHaiti reported that the Educational Community Policing (EduPOL) initiative implemented the program, which received backing from UN Women. During the sessions, officers studied subjects such as civic responsibility, police ethics, human rights, and gender-based violence.
Ceremony attendees
Several high-ranking members of the PNH High Command attended the graduation event. These included Inspector General Jean Yonel Trecile, who stood in for the Acting Director General of the PNH. Chief Commissioner Dorvil Morency represented the National Coordinator of Community Education Policing, and Chief Commissioner Joseph Rolind Jean-Louis attended as the Director of the National Police Academy.
