CSPJ Certifies 119 Magistrates from 159 Dossiers

According to HaitiLibre, out of these reviewed cases, 119 judges were certified while 17 did not meet the criteria set forth by the CSPJ. Additionally, two magistrates have been asked to retire immediately due to abandonment of their posts, and seven others are being invited to exercise their retirement rights.

Furthermore, HaitiLibre reported that seven files require further investigation before final decisions can be made. The council has yet to specify the nature or timeline for these additional investigations but stated they will continue examining these dossiers.

The certification process aims to evaluate magistrates against established criteria necessary for maintaining judicial functions in a challenging context where many courts face significant operational difficulties due to insecurity across Haiti.
