DeJesus claimed she had come to visit Marthia Herelle, whom she called her "mother-in-law," but Herelle reported that DeJesus was harassing and terrorizing her. When officers arrived at #66 Seven Hills, they found DeJesus parked on the shoulder with a vacant expression as if in a trance.

Despite being warned by police to leave the area, DeJesus continued to circle around marked units and eventually sped past them toward Herelle’s residence. She then ditched her gray pickup truck off the roadway into bushes before attempting to flee but was tackled and handcuffed by officers.

DeJesus told arresting officers she had forgotten something when questioned about defying orders. At the scene, a shaken Herelle reported that DeJesus had laid on her vehicle's horn non-stop earlier in the morning and demanded she drop her phone while trying to call 911 for help.

The woman was booked at police headquarters with bail set at $1,000 before appearing before Superior Court Magistrate Judge Yolan C. Brow Ross on Monday for an Advice of Rights hearing. She is charged under Title 14 V.I.C. § 883 for disobeying lawful orders from a police officer.
