About the programme

Not everyone is in front of a screen when the main bulletin airs. Rediyfizyon Jounal repeats NAGO News's flagship bulletin later in the evening and through the night, for people who were still at work, on the road or busy elsewhere. The bulletin runs uncut, with its reports, its footage and its stories in their original order.

One difference matters, though: when the facts have moved on since the first broadcast, the stories concerned are updated. A detail that has since been clarified, a toll that has changed or a situation that was resolved during the evening is not left as it was. The rest of the bulletin stays the same, so you see what everyone else saw, but corrected where the news requires it. In this way, someone watching late is no less well informed than someone who saw the first airing, and is sometimes better informed.

This repeat answers a simple reality. In Haiti, many days end late, and power cuts can make people miss a programme. In the diaspora, the time difference between Haiti and Europe or parts of North America makes the first airing hard to catch. Rediyfizyon Jounal gives a second chance to see the full account of the day, rather than a quick summary.

What you will see

  • The day's main bulletin, in full
  • Reports and footage in their original order
  • Stories updated where the facts have changed
  • The full account of the day, not a summary
