About the programme

The working day is ending, and with it comes the need to know what happened while you were busy. Jounal Aswè is scheduled for exactly that moment. In one hour, it gathers everything that has happened since midday on NAGO News and presents it as a single, clear and orderly bulletin.

The afternoon is often full of news: announcements are made, some situations are resolved, others arise. Rather than leaving those stories scattered, Jounal Aswè takes them up one by one and connects them. It takes stock of the day as the evening begins, pointing out what has been settled and what remains to be followed until the main bulletin. Morning stories are taken up again only if they have moved on, which leaves room for the afternoon's news and spares viewers from hearing the same thing twice.

This is the bulletin for people heading home. In Haiti, many arrive home at the end of the day after long journeys, and this programme lets them catch up on the afternoon without waiting until later in the evening. In the diaspora, depending on the country, the hour falls in the late afternoon or early evening, a convenient moment for news from home. Jounal Aswè thus opens the channel's evening of news, ahead of the big debate.
