About the programme
Mornings need movement. Leve Ak Mizik is NAGO Music's wake-up video mix, deliberately bright and up-tempo, built to get a whole household going: whoever is making the coffee, whoever is getting dressed, whoever is still looking for their shoes.
For two hours the selection puts rhythm first. The tracks are chosen to carry you along, to be recognisable within the first few seconds and to go with the morning routine without asking for too much attention. Between the videos, the programme gives the weather and a look at what is on the channel later in the day, so you know what to watch when you get home in the evening.
The change of mood is sharp. Just before, Konpa After Dark plays slow ballads for the last hours of the night; Leve Ak Mizik turns the page and opens the day with energy. The Top 20 Kreyòl countdown follows. Whether you are getting ready for work in Port-au-Prince or watching from the diaspora, it is a way to start the day with Haitian music.
