San Antonio beat Sacramento by fifteen points, according to Sport News Africa. France's Victor Wembanyama finished with 14 rebounds, two days after his 52 points against the Dallas Mavericks. The win is the Spurs' second in this season's NBA Cup.

In control from the first quarter

The Spurs won the first quarter 38 to 29 and led by as many as 24 points. Wembanyama scored 12 straight points across the first two periods. After the break, he added ten more, and his teammates then managed the end of the game.

In 26 minutes, he made 10 of 18 shots, including three of six from three-point range, and six of nine free throws. Devin Vassell, Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle each scored 19 points.

Left ankle the only scare

Just before halftime, Wembanyama's left ankle rolled after contact with Domantas Sabonis, who was called for a flagrant foul. The player felt pain at the time. He stayed in the game with no apparent discomfort.

Seventh win in nine games

San Antonio now stands at seven wins and two losses in the regular season. The team sits behind the Los Angeles Lakers, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Houston Rockets in the West. Last season's finalist, it is now on a winning streak.

The game in Sacramento opens a four-game road trip. The Spurs face the Portland Trail Blazers the very next night.
