Ana Lucía Beltré, director general of the UASD Barahona campus, and Ramón Alberto López Ynoa, academic vice-director, were present at the event. The services offered included consultations in urology and gynecology, as well as blood tests and other examinations for cancer detection, including Pap smears and PSA tests.

Patients also received free medications according to their medical needs. This initiative is part of the 488th anniversary celebration of the founding of the Primada de América and fits within the university outreach program aimed at bringing the university closer to the community.

The results of the tests performed will be communicated to the patients upon their return.
