A police officer kills his girlfriend and their baby in Delmas
A family tragedy cost the lives of two police officers and their daughter in the Saint-Patrick zone of Delmas on Saturday, October 3. Luc André Dessous, a member of the Haitian National Police (PNH), is said to have killed his partner Magalie Augustin, also a police officer, as well as their child before committing suicide.

According to Peace Judge Garry Coupet, who conducted the legal examination, victim Magalie Augustin and Luc André Dessous had been experiencing relationship difficulties for some time. A dispute preceded the incident that occurred in Magalie Augustin's home.
The baby, named Magaella Ayla Shaskia Dossous, who was due to celebrate her first birthday on October 11, received a bullet wound to the head. The mother reportedly sustained several gunshot wounds. Luc André Dessous then committed suicide by turning his weapon against himself and shooting under his chin.
Judge Coupet states that Magalie Augustin suffered at least four injuries, confirming the circumstances of the tragedy following a dispute between the two police officers. Judicial authorities seized the victims' cell phones to gather more information on the ongoing investigation.
