Puerto Rico: driver dies after hitting a pole in Juana Díaz

Roberto Rodríguez Colón, a 49-year-old man, died in a traffic accident that occurred on the PR-1 road in Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico. The driver died at the scene after losing control of his vehicle due to excessive speed before violently striking a concrete utility pole.

Investigation underway

According to Noticel, Officer Julio Malavé from the Ponce Highway Patrol Division and Prosecutor Guillermo Figueroa have taken charge of the standard investigation.

A second fatal tragedy

Police authorities also recorded another fatal accident in the same municipality on the PR-14 road. According to Metro Puerto Rico, an unidentified man was found dead from severe injuries in front of the Escuela Elemental Jacaguas following an emergency call received in the morning.
