Away from the mats for nearly two years, Teddy Riner, a five-time Olympic champion in judo, announced on Wednesday, September 16, that he is recommitting with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) until the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The 37-year-old Guadeloupean joined the Paris club during the revival of their judo section in 2017, but has not participated in an official competition with them since the 2024 Judo Champions League edition.
Riner should remain linked to PSG until the Los Angeles Olympics, which represent his ultimate professional challenge. Despite this, he still needs to manage a shoulder injury and had to cancel his participation in next month's World Judo Championships in Azerbaijan.
