Radio Télévision Caraïbes reports that former Prime Minister Keith Rowley has strongly criticized Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar for her attacks on Independent Senators. According to Rowley, these criticisms aim to weaken the constitutional role of independent senators and are unjustified. The Special Operations Bill was adopted in the Senate after a tied vote followed by a tie-breaking vote from President Wade Mark.
