Nnadi's return, good news for Genesio

Bruno Genesio has received excellent news ahead of his team's match in Troyes: Tochukwu Nnadi has recovered and could reclaim his spot in the starting eleven. According to La Provence, as reported by Foot Mercato, the Nigerian international has resumed collective training without pain following a right knee injury sustained at the end of August against Monaco.

Nnadi avoided surgery, opting instead for a muscle-strengthening protocol. His presence is particularly timely as the Marseille midfield is suffering from the absences of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Himad Abdelli, as well as Geoffrey Kondogbia's lack of optimal physical fitness.

Current situation

The Nigerian defensive midfielder, who arrived in Marseille for six million euros last January, has played only 387 minutes across the ten appearances he made under Habib Beye. However, his profile could address OM's current needs in that area.

Next steps

Genesio will speak at a press conference on Friday at 1:30 PM to comment on this situation and other aspects of the match against Troyes. The final decision regarding Nnadi's inclusion in the starting lineup will be made after training.
