Marie Ganette Galliote, coordinator of the network, highlighted the obstacles preventing greater participation of women in the electoral process during a press conference in Pétion-Ville. According to her, insecurity and poverty are forcing some women to leave their homes, thus leading to the loss of their property and sources of income.

Galliote also criticized the administrative and financial requirements imposed on candidates. She believes that these constraints should take into account the economic realities of Haitian women, especially for those working for low wages. The network thus wishes to guarantee broader access to the electoral process.

The Network of Women Candidates to Win is also calling for better female representation within the CEP and the implementation of measures to facilitate accessibility for people with disabilities during the elections.

In addition to Marie Ganette Galliote, other political figures took part in this conference: Lundad Marseille (senatorial candidate), Senat Dante Maria (deputy candidate for Tabarre), Sheilla Pelicier (mayoral candidate for Port-au-Prince), Rosenie Gustave (deputy coordinator of the network and deputy candidate for Marigot), as well as Hélène Celant, a founding member of the network.
