Director General Emmanuel Pierre emphasized the importance of preventing rather than remedying damage caused by disasters. According to him, it would be wiser to invest a few hundred dollars in prevention than millions to repair the damage incurred.
The DGPC organized a ceremony at its headquarters on Toussaint Louverture Boulevard in the presence of the Minister of Public Health and Population's chief of staff, Marcus Cadet. This event aimed to raise awareness among the audience about preventive practices.
Cadet stressed the integration of risk reduction policies in schools to protect the health and safety of children. He considers these investments crucial for building a resilient society against the constant threat of natural events in Haiti.
