Haiti's National Police (PNH) has set a new deadline of Monday, November 9, 2026 for candidates in the upcoming elections to submit their requests for police certificates. The decision is meant to ease the administrative workload and make sure every file is processed before applications close on November 15.
Submitting requests
The PNH Directorate General published a notice on Thursday inviting prospective candidates to submit their requests for these certificates. Applicants must file their paperwork either with the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) in Port-au-Prince or with the Departmental Services of the Judicial Police (SDPJ). The measure is meant to give the relevant offices time to carry out the necessary checks and issue the certificates on schedule.
Instructions for candidates
The Directorate General strongly urges candidates to make their arrangements well before the November 9 deadline. By planning ahead, they can avoid any delay in the processing of their request and make sure all their documents are ready in time.
