New political alliances before the elections
With just months until the next elections, Haiti's political landscape is transforming with the emergence of new platforms and the reshaping of old forces. The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) has registered 105 political structures, including EDE as an independent party while VIKTWA, REKONSILYE, and DEBLOKE are groupings.

According to data updated by the CEP on September 27, ten presidential candidacies have already been registered. These new banners often gather several existing parties under a single banner for the elections. For example, VIKTWA has united 52 political formations and chose Wilner Joseph as its presidential candidate through its primary on September 10.
REKONSILYE, another political grouping, has designated Gary Bodeau to carry its colors. He is a former deputy and former president of the Chamber of Deputies. Claude Joseph, who has previously held the positions of Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, will be EDE's candidate.
The CEP also saw a recent change on September 24 with Peterson Pierre-Louis taking over as president. Jaccéus Joseph is now vice-president, Nemrod Sanon secretary general, and Schnaïda Adély treasurer.
These reconfigurations show that Haiti's political landscape is expanding with familiar candidacies seeking to renew their image. Despite these groupings, each banner maintains its own direction and unique strategies to convince voters.
