Privert called on Haitians to fulfill their tax responsibilities with solidarity and hope. He paid tribute to the tax administration officials for their daily commitment, also highlighting the crucial role of taxpayers in mobilizing public resources.
According to Privert, this reform aims to harmonize tax rules, broaden the tax base, and improve revenue collection. He insisted on the importance of a more efficient and equitable tax administration, as well as conditions of peace, security, and stability to ensure the success of the reforms.
Minister Serge Gabriel Collin, according to Haiti24, indicated that this Tax Code is the result of in-depth consultations with various actors from the private sector and professionals. He wishes to maintain this collaboration during the implementation phase to identify potential difficulties and possibly make necessary adjustments.
