Michigan is the subject of two reports, one by France 24 and the other by RFI. Each focuses on a minority whose vote could count during the midterm elections. Donald Trump appears in both stories.

Latinos, between 2024 and ICE

RFI reports that 250 million Americans are called to vote this Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The media outlet identifies the Latino vote as one of the key issues of the election. Men from Latin America had largely supported Donald Trump in 2024. RFI suggests that the Republican Party could suffer electoral backlash as a result of the violent crackdown carried out by immigration police, ICE. Its report was produced in Detroit.

The Arab and Muslim community

France 24, for its part, looks at the Arab and Muslim community, which votes throughout the state of Michigan. Its journalist Valentin Cacheux went to meet them, from Dearborn to Warren. According to the channel, its members often fervently support Democratic candidate Abdul el-Sayed. They are highly critical of US President Donald Trump and his policy in the Middle East. France 24 believes that this minority could have a significant impact on the result. The brief does not specify which office Abdul el-Sayed is running for.
