From studies to the family business

He completed his primary education at Saint-Louis de Gonzague and finished secondary school at Collège Roger-Anglade. From 1967 to 1974, he lived in the United States. Upon returning to the country, he took over his family's business, which employed numerous fishermen in the South and Grand'Anse, and later invested in trade and industry.

Entering politics

In 1986, following the departure of Jean-Claude Duvalier, he entered politics. He first campaigned with the National Agricultural Industrial Party, then with the Fusion of Social Democrats, and created the Rally of Political Forces of Grand'Anse. In 2016, he founded the Haitian Agricultural Party.

In the Senate

A candidate for the Senate in 2006, he was declared elected for a 6-year term, with the support of the department's farmers and fishermen. He chaired the commerce, industry, and tourism committee, served on the public works committee, was a rapporteur for the justice and security committee, and later became vice-president of the Senate. He was also a special advisor to presidents Préval and Martelly and participated in several missions abroad. In 2016, he took part in the campaign of Jovenel Moïse, who won the presidency.
