Mesloub Mezian called up with Portugal's youth team
Mezian Mesloub, a 16-year-old player for the club Lens, has been called up to play with Portugal's under-21 team. This call-up comes after the left-footed player made his Champions League debut against Slavia Prague last week.

Mesloub can also represent France and Algeria, but he is currently favoring the Portuguese team. The Portuguese federation has presented him with a concrete project in recent weeks to convince him to choose this option.
It should be noted that Mesloub will be playing alongside older players, some up to five years his senior. This decision follows the young player's impressive performances during his debut with Lens and his regular participation with the French national team for under-16 and under-17 age groups.
Mesloub was launched by Pierre Sage, assistant coach at the time, and scored in his first match against FC Nantes. His father, Walid Mesloub, is a former Algerian international player.
