All entrances to the Jarry industrial site were cut off that morning, according to information collected by RCI Guadeloupe. Rubble and debris were dumped on the road to block several roundabouts at the entrance.

In Capesterre-Belle-Eau, barricades made of pallets and vehicles are reported in the areas of Îlet Pérou and Sainte-Marie. Traffic disruptions were also noted in La Boucan, Sainte-Rose, Durivage, and Sainte-Anne.

According to L'Article Guadeloupe on Karibinfo, this loss of activity cannot be made up for business owners and employees. The unions of La Poste have extended their movement across the entire territory in reaction to difficult conditions.

Authorities are urging motorists to exercise caution and avoid these disrupted areas as much as possible due to the road blockages.
