The jury highlighted "the courage of her vision" and "the extraordinary humanity of her cinema." Worth €5,000, this prize also offers Gessica Généus an artist residency at the Villa Medicis.

Before this distinction, the film had been selected last May at the Cannes Film Festival in the "Cannes Première" section and won the Grand Prize of the Jury at the Cabourg Film Festival.
