With four days until the scheduled second round on Sunday, October 25, both candidates are accusing each other of abusing social media to influence voter opinion. Each has taken legal action to have their opponent disqualified from the presidential race.
Erika Campelo, general secretary of the association Other Brazils, stated in an interview with RFI World that a "Lula army" has risen on social media to support the incumbent candidate. This digital mobilization is part of the strategies used by Lula and Bolsonaro to influence Brazilian voters' decisions.
