The mayor of Kenscoff, Massillon Jean, commended Tuesday, September 26, 2026, the progress made by the Haitian National Police (HNP) in its fight against armed groups. According to the mayor, several areas have been retaken by law enforcement, particularly in Bois-d'Avril.

Massillon Jean also indicated that criminals occupied a house belonging to a Canadian citizen, which has now been freed. The mayor is requesting support from the Haitian Armed Forces (HAF) to secure the territories that have been retaken and the intervention of a technical team from the Ministry of Public Works, Transportation, and Communications to facilitate the movement of security forces.
