The Tennessee prison director resigns after a failed execution
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced on Saturday that the state’s corrections chief had resigned following a failure during the execution of Christa Pike. The condemned woman, who is currently hospitalized in critical condition after surviving two lethal injection attempts on Wednesday evening, is 50 years old.
