"We are proud that you wore our jersey," the team stated as they parted ways with Féliz. Following this decision, he is now free to accept offers from other organizations in the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) for the 2026-27 championship.

The LIDOM regular season will get underway next Friday, October 16. The Estrellas will play against the Toros del Este at 7:30 p.m. at the Francisco A. Micheli stadium in La Romana. On the same day, the Tigres del Licey will face the Leones del Escogido at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal stadium, while the Águilas Cibaeñas will travel to play a game against the Gigantes del Cibao.

The Las Estrellas Orientales, founded in 1910 and based in San Pedro de Macorís, are one of the historic teams of Dominican professional baseball. They have won four recognized national championships: the titles from 1954, 1967-68, and 2018-19, as well as the title won in 1936.
