Chinese public television has decided not to broadcast the match between Racing Santander and Real Madrid, which is taking place this Sunday in La Liga. This decision is a response to the controversial remarks made by Kylian Mbappé about former leader Mao Zedong.

Kylian Mbappé is coming off a difficult week, having lost the Ballon d'Or in London and sparked controversy with his comments on Mao Zedong. Despite these events, a source close to Real Madrid claims that the striker is "very calm" and even re-energized for the upcoming matches.

The match between Santander and Real Madrid began with Kylian Mbappé scoring a penalty in the 21st minute. Jude Bellingham also scored a goal, giving Real Madrid a two-point lead after only twenty minutes of play.

Consequences in China

The controversy surrounding Kylian Mbappé's remarks about Mao Zedong has led to the loss of numerous sponsors for the striker in the Asian country. La Liga and the Spanish club are also suffering negative consequences.
