The FFF releases a fund of 2.2 million euros for amateur clubs
The French Football Federation (FFF) announced on Thursday that it is allocating a budget of 2.2 million euros to support the approximately 12,000 amateur clubs in the country facing rising fuel prices. This decision, taken during an executive committee meeting and announced by President Philippe Diallo, aims to alleviate costs related to travel necessary for organizing nearly one million matches annually.
"Fuel prices at the pump sometimes exceed 2.50 euros and can pose problems for our clubs in terms of travel," explained Philippe Diallo. This aid will be directly deposited into the bank accounts of the clubs based on their size: according to General Director Jean-François Vilotte, structures with fewer than 100 registered players will receive 100 euros, while larger ones may receive up to 500 euros.
This measure comes as the FFF reports an improved financial situation. Philippe Diallo indeed revealed revenues exceeding 300 million euros and a net profit slightly above 4 million for the 2025-2026 season, marking a notable improvement compared to losses of more than 8 million recorded in the previous season.
