The discussions highlighted the importance of increased coordination between the Haitian National Police, the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H), and the Gang Repression Force (FRG). Lekens emphasized that this collaboration is essential to effectively address the threat posed by these criminal groups.
Furthermore, the French ambassador also reaffirmed his country's support for efforts aimed at strengthening the integrity and professionalization of Haiti's security forces. Cooperation between Paris and Port-au-Prince continues particularly in areas such as training and capacity building for the police.
Release of Kidnapped Individuals
On Sunday, September 20, with the support of the Gang Repression Force (FRG), the Haitian National Police freed six people kidnapped by the Didi gang in the commune of Kenscoff. The victims are: Dérilus Dérise Léger, Raphael Marco, Raphael Zaddy, Raphael Roodny, and Exil Watson.
