Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has successfully undergone surgery in Doha for a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The procedure took place one week after the injury occurred during a match against FC Barcelona.

Reaction and support

PSG coach Luis Enrique paid tribute to Kvaratskhelia during a press conference. "I would like to dedicate this victory to Kvara," he stated. The club and the fans showed their support for the player during a previous match.

Impact on the team

The injury will deprive PSG of a major attacking option, forcing Luis Enrique to rely more on players like Mika Godts to compensate for his absence. "We have a lot of confidence in him," Enrique added.

International support

Spanish international Gavi from FC Barcelona also sent a message of support: "I like Kvaratskhelia enormously, he deserves to be in the top 5 for the Ballon d'Or."
