Defender Kayden Pierre, who plays in Belgium for Jong Genk, is joining the Haitian national team. Head coach David Badía included him among the 25 players called up for the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinal against the United States, according to the squad list published on Saturday, November 7, 2026 by Haiti-Tempo. Télé Pam also announced his arrival with the Grenadiers.

Developed at Sporting Kansas City

Kayden Pierre is a right back from Michigan, in the United States. A product of Sporting Kansas City's academy in MLS, he signed his first professional contract there in 2021 and played 27 league games (two assists). This season he plays for the club's reserve side, Jong Genk.

He has already worn the United States jersey at under-20 level, with three appearances, according to MLS.

Two newcomers in defense

Kayden Pierre is not the only new face in the group. Badía also called up defender Patrick Nwadike of Spartak Trnava. The two players come in to strengthen a back line without Hannes Delcroix, who is injured at FC Lugano ([read our article](https://nago.tv/news/hannes-delcroix-blesse-lugano-longue-absence-haiti-etats-unis)).

Forward Lenny Joseph (Ferencváros) returns after missing the group stage through injury. Duckens Nazon and Derrick Etienne Jr. are still not on the list.

Two games against the United States

The Grenadiers face the United States on Saturday, November 14 at Nu Stadium in Miami, then on Tuesday, November 17 at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The winner over the two games advances to the semifinals.
